Maker Faire is a celebration of all things DIY - from robotics and electronics to arts and crafts. This is a family-friendly event that inspires creativity, promotes invention and brings makers together.
The creation of the Atlanta Mini Maker Faire was inspired by the great work Make Magazine and O’Reilly Media have done on their Bay Area, New York, and Detroit Maker Faires, and by the steadily increasing number of Mini Maker Faires that have been taking place throughout the country.
The first Atlanta Mini Maker Faire was a huge success! With 50 exhibitors and over 2,000 guests, we certainly made an impact on the DIY community of the Southeast.
Thanks to the amazing response we received after the first Faire, we’re going to make this an annual event!
